What We Ate Today: A Divine Dessert Pizza

Photo Journalism Friday: A Divine Dessert Pizza

– A fusion of chocolate sauce, bananas and mozzarella cheese made into a pizza seemed like an odd combination to me – but I gotta tell you – bake it in a wood fired oven and you have a heavenly mixture! This sweet treat can be found at Revolucion Cafe at Playa Maderas.

  1. Thanks for your fun posts. We are building a house in San Juan Del Sur… and hope to get there by January 2014…so wonderful to get your perspective. Gracias.

    Looks delicious!

  3. I have a little one for you that is pretty good. Slice bannanas about 1/4″ thick and lay out on a sheet pan that will fit in your freezer. Put peanut butter on top and cover with another bananna slice. Freeze until hard. While all this freezing is going on melt some chocolate and then put a tooth pick in each bananna treat and dip in chocolate and back in the freezer until hard.

    • One can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter. I will definitely have to try this one sometime soon! What type of chocolate do you use? Chocolate chips?
