Meet the Expats

– July 2010

I’ve lived in a number of cities across Canada and worked in more industries than I can remember.  Examples include grocery store, pet store, roofing, commercial diving, self-defence training,  bartending, health club owner. I even spent some time in the corporate world. My last gig was Senior Manager to a Project Management/IT team for a National Communications company.  All the cities and careers were fun in their own way, but it was time for a new adventure in a new country.  The next career is still unknown, but the country is Nicaragua.

Once a small town East coast gal Calgary, Alberta, Canada was the place I recently called home.  I never would have believed it if you told me I’d be living in Nicaragua one day.  On December 1, 2011 I hung up my hat as an Executive Assistant at Suncor Energy Services Inc. and traded in my high heels for flips flops and prepared myself for a Nicaraguan adventure!
